OCC is currently looking for experienced voice and data installers in Houston. This is a full-time position. Will train. Must have an insured truck or van.
$2000 Signing bonus for experienced technicians.
REQUIREMENTS:
- pass drug test and background search (no felonies or misdemeanors) during pre-employment and annually thereafter as required by Contractor
- have valid driver's license
- satisfactory driving record with a minimum of three consecutive years of driving experience
- at least 21 years old
- regular and predictable attendance
- have an insured and reliable work truck or van with a ladder rack able to carry a 28' extension ladder
- must have reliable work truck/van
EDUCATION:
- high school diploma or equivalent; some college or vocational training preferred
CERTIFICATIONS:
- none required, but upon employment will be required to pass NCTI tests as required by OCC and Contractor
DUTIES:
- install basic residential coaxial cable wiring
- ground service cables to NEC specifications
- drill penetrations for cables through floors, walls, etc.
- install and/or replace underground and aerial cable
- install digital voice/VoIP/Telephony
- properly instruct customers in the operation of TV converter controls and services
- customer contact and correctly document the services provided to customers
- verify and document signal meter reading for the use of trouble-shooting and confirmation of services
- work safely following all OSHA and OCC safety policies including basic ladder usage
